Title: 8-15-09 Hunt Post by: Mike on August 15, 2009, 01:30:55 pm I took my two young ones, swung by and drug Sean out of bed :o and headed to Fort Bend County this morning. We met up with Chris, Mandi, their two girls and buddy Richard. Turned out at daylight and hunted a couple of hours with no luck. Started getting warm so we decided to hit a block of woods along the golf course. Hunter and I caught a big snapping turtle and was carrying it back to show the girls when the dogs opened up. They were bayed good, we got close and sent the catchdogs in... caught a nice red sow. We were about 10 yards from the edge of the course in 10 foot high weeds. I looked up and we had an audience. ;D Several of the course's maintenance crew was watching as we tied her up. They sure wanted a hog, so we stuck her and loaded her in one of their work carts. Had a good time, but at 9:00 it was hot, muggy and time to get out of the woods!

We've caught some recently, just not any worth getting pics of. I think Steve's shoat problem might have been contagious. This hunt might have really opened some doors for us. Made a good contact at TDC as well as the golf course.
