Title: Valuable or sought after Irregularities. Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on November 23, 2013, 11:00:42 pm Curious to see what Irregularities that are a little off center to the norm that folks seek in prospective bay/strike dogs.
Couple of examples would be double dew clawed, shying from other dogs...(not human shyness) These are a couple I have ran into that some folks desire. Let's here what ya got. To me, those are thinking, business minded dogs. They also are not wasting energy that they could use later. They don't seem to miss much.

1. Picking out boars from a mob 2. "Running on" - you guys call it relay finding 3. Laid back when stitching or "doctoring" 4. taking to jumping early (I see this as a great confidence indicator) Title: Re: Valuable or sought after Irregularities. Title: Re: Valuable or sought after Irregularities. Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on November 24, 2013, 06:20:29 pm One trait that isn't looked at hard since the fox hound era...is mouth on the dog. Ever had a really nice lil dog that you couldn't hear on the other side of a log bayed solid?
Now picture breeding that dog to another quite lipped pooch. Gets frustrating quick. ??? Title: Re: Valuable or sought after Irregularities. Post by: KevinN on November 24, 2013, 06:29:34 pm Yessir...another good one

Yes, frustrating indeed. My best one is like that, she barely makes a peep, just does a lot of staring, growling and soft woofing. It's hard to send pups to her, becuase they can't read the garmin...
