Title: Re: plott guys Post by: Cajun on December 11, 2013, 07:35:12 pm I dont know about the Sleepy Hollow bloodlines but the Sizzling Heat bloodlines are in a lot of the plott hog dog pedigrees. Orville Roberts bred a lot of Sizzling Heat into his dogs.
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: hoghunter71409 on December 11, 2013, 08:10:43 pm I also don't know much about the Sleepy Hallow; seen a lot of good dogs with Sizzling Heat in them. I wonder how many people know that Sizzilin Heat was a coon dog and not a hog dog. Anyway, lots of good pups from SH.
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: oconee on December 11, 2013, 09:35:11 pm X3 on the Heat stuff being pretty good!!! Don't stop with one, you need a whole pack of them Brindle Beauties. LOL Good luck with the pup!
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: Juan Horton on December 11, 2013, 10:27:15 pm I have dogs directly off mr Roberts yard, I love them. The only thing is he raised them for cold nose. They have the heart to stop runners, but he did not like to gritty dogs

Title: Re: plott guys Post by: Cajun on December 12, 2013, 07:46:08 am White Hollow would be Gene White's breeding now deceased. He started with Weems bred dogs & added other blood in here & there. Gene was a bear & hog hunter from Tn.

Title: Re: plott guys Post by: oconee on December 12, 2013, 03:30:15 pm Thanks tryin to get some brindal on the yard and messed up it is white hollow bred I don't guess I understand that statement! The best hound I own is heavy White Hollow bred. He's getting old but you can bet that in ten years his name will probably be in every pedigree on my yard. Title: Re: plott guys Post by: oconee on December 12, 2013, 03:37:48 pm My bad!! I gottca now, I thought you were worried about the pup being White Hollow but you were actually correcting yourself! That pup should do something for sure!
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: arrowbar on December 12, 2013, 09:39:54 pm My main plott stud is half gene whites blood the other half alan smiths. Plotts are great dogs, blend a lot of good characteristics but becareful with them they are like many bulldogs, they will finish a fight...rarely start it but they will finish it
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: Catch Dog Deluxe on December 12, 2013, 10:45:01 pm I have some white deer kennels stuff an he's been doing good, with the except action of last night. I think he opened on track a little but the woods were covered in hogs and he ended baying right after. So far, when I send the bulldog in and I get there he has a mouth full of pig!
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: WestTexasCurs on December 13, 2013, 01:21:25 pm Plotts are bred to be open on track.
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: Juan Horton on December 14, 2013, 04:14:48 pm I prefer a open dog
Title: Re: plott guys Post by: Bonnie_Clyde on December 15, 2013, 07:29:33 pm I prefer a open dog I had a closed mouth hound for you, but can't get rid of her know, because you prefer open hounds LOL. Its your Texas buddy, had to mess with a little. |
