Title: Hog breeds? Post by: Jmesonp1 on January 02, 2014, 09:40:39 am I was wondering how many different breeds of hogs make up the ferral hog population. If any of you know with any certainty of a breed that was let loose, escaped, trailer wreck, or even free ranged. Ive hunted all over OK and TX and its interesting to see the different size, shapes, and colors of hogs. Also if you have any unique pics of ferral hogs that resemble more domestic than russian influence.

Post by: jfree58jr on January 03, 2014, 01:50:53 pm We raise domestic hogs on the family farm, and from time to time a hog will get out they rarely run off too far. But if it takes us a while before we find them within weeks they start changing growing thicker hair longer teeth slimming up. Its amazing how fast they become feral, after being domesticated all their lives.
