Title: First Bay in Pen Post by: hillbilly on August 21, 2009, 11:30:51 am Well we have a few hogs in our 150 acre pen now, I took a few pups this morning. It took me a while but we finally found one. Actualy my 7 month old pup bayed the hog first and then my older gyp fell in with her. Had some pups with me that are about 4 months old. They got in and barked and few times until the hog charged them and dirt rolled one of them. They kinda lost interest after that. Hope I didn't ruin them. I guess time will tell. I think I am going to wait on them a few more months before I take them back. But I was proud of my other pup for finding the hog though. Anyways I guess it was a pretty good morning.
Thanks, Hillbilly Title: Re: First Bay in Pen Post by: Little Timmy on August 21, 2009, 11:45:44 am so just wondering if a pup gets rolled by a hog too early are the chances high of them bein ruined and what is too early.

Yea I think it will be great myself. Good way to know they are on a hog everytime. Just need a few more hogs though. Title: Re: First Bay in Pen Post by: mex on August 21, 2009, 02:09:45 pm Where are you located?I just came into a few and would be willing to trade for a training hunt maybe.
