I figured I would start this thread so that we can keep up with our little contest in one place.  We have the date set, now we just need to lay down the rules of the hunt.

First Annual Betty Crocker Babes Versus Barrs Hunt

Date: Labor Day weekend. Evening of Friday September 4th through Saturday September 5th. Y'all give me some input on what hours you want to hunt, and I'll note them.

North Ranch and South Ranch.  We can flip a coin and decide which team hunts on which ranch. Historically both ranches have produced about the same number and quality of hogs.

Prizes   When the Betty Crocker Babes lose, they must put on aprons and be photographed serving the men cookies.

    If the Betty Crocker Babes happen to cheat and the Barrs lose, then the men will be photographed wearing pink panties over their clothes.

That's steep Wagers pride is priceless as an old man once told me you guys better have the A team. Ready to rock and roll out I don't think anyone wants to see yall in pink panties lol

Haha this is gonna be fun....I say we hunt from 7:30-11:30 and what you catch you catch and after that if you want to keep hunting fine but you gotta be at the barn by 11:30 for the "weigh in".  I would love a cool front but my money is on 98+ the day we hunt.  I got a flashlight but I can't carry an A/C unit  :)    I better quite whining though before I end up on the girls team  ;D

Naw, i'm not involved in the make-up and pink panties... i'm just the chauffeur! ;)

I don't know what is more fitting of the following popular phrases...... "Hold my beer and watch this", "That's gonna leave a mark", or "That's gotta hurt".

In the course of the weekend, I'm sure to utter all three along with a few choice adjectives.

I would suggest that we coin toss for the kick off (winner chooses property) and we switch sides at half time. I also suggest that hunting times are not restricted other than start time and weigh in. Any time during that period is open hunting time.

Also, someone needs to decide if we will be competing for the biggest hog or most hogs or most weight overall.

Somehow I have a feeling that this is going to be a lose, lose situation for us guys....

I say we do head count and tails count!!!  Stick and move and cut the ears or the tail off and go on to the next one.  I have hunted this place enough to tell you that you DO NOT want to have to worry about dragging hogs out, trust me.....

I was going to suggest the boys serve us cookies while wearing pink panties when they lose. Then I realized I'd probably be too nauseous to eat the cookies at that point.

As for the times, I'll probably have to work until around 5:30/6 on Friday and Flatonia will be just under a 2 hour drive. Yes, my job is lame. I'm not sure what that means as far as hunting times go, either we'd need a late start Friday night or hunting Saturday morning and Saturday night instead, whatever works for you guys.

No matter when we hunt, the Betty Crocker Babes will be serving up some serious pork. And remember boys, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!

I have never spent much time in the kitchen.  Ladies, could yall fill us in on what that is like?  8)

WELL Hello Boys!!!! I see that while the cat is away the mice will play!!! In this post I will go ahead and dispose of several problems!
The Most Important Problem:
After I got home today I began to read the brave words of my now deseased husband! I would like to, at this time, go ahead and give the Pink Pantied Barrs a chance to replace Chance. I have administered the appropriate castration techniquies and finished him off painfully and slowly and dug him a hole in the back yard and rolled him off in it. So in light of this I think it is safe to say he will not be able to be a part of your team! >:D  :'( ;D

This is where the saying, if you can't beat em' join em', really rings so true. We shall see how many more of these guys jump ship at the last minute just from the fear of losing. I am so glad to have a "real man" on our team! ;)

Hey everyone i found me a job so i can go i will be the weight man . I can weigh all the hogs and check the guys hogs out to make sure they didnt put  a waterhose in their mouth and fill them up with water. ;)

I've already thought about that and I decided I'd make things really simple: I'm taking the blue dogs because they look best in the pink collars. Sadie, Lucifer, Banjo, Ollie... not bad! And I guess I'll be taking the Garmin too since I know Steve doesn't want me to lose the strike dogs.

Well Wcg89, you should to go to the "Girls last hog of the week" post and scroll down to the picture that I posted... Crystal had just had the hog by the back legs, I had one of the front legs and we flipped it. In the pic, she is pulling the cd off while I'm keeping the hog pinned down and then she tied it. Her husband was filming while my husband taking pics.

Aladatrot, I can only assume by the lack of answers from the "why are they called the Barrs" question... that while you are shopping for those pink ruffled panties you can go one to two sizes smaller because it sounds like there might be a little extra room inside there! Okay guys, I need some help.   As most of you already know, Saturday, September 5th 2009, the Betty Crocker Babes will be serving us cookies in their APRONS!  One of the stipulations of this contest, is that the guys pick out the aprons, and the girls pick out the panties.    I will be having Mandi's apron customized.... I just need some ideas on what to embroidered on the apron.

I've tried desperately to keep up with all of this jib-jab, but I can't help but to go back and stare at those pictures of you and your friends stradling those hogs.   Though the hogs were nice and ya'll are obviously attravice ladies who have very lucky husbands, I find myself more and more intrigued by the noticabley smaller feet that you seem to have when compared to your husbands, or any male for that matter.  I couldn't figure out why it was that you all had such smaller feet until it finally clicked and I realized why.....yall's feet are shorter so that you can stand closer to the kitchen sink!!!

After some discussion, a slight modification has been made to the chaperon assignment.  Larry will chaperon the north ranch, Mike will be on the south ranch. Property hunted will still be decided by the winner of a coin toss.

Scoring/weighing -    all hogs will be tied, and score will be decided by weight.  1 point per pound.

In remembrance of the late Chance Ward, I would like to say he was a good guy before he was affiliated with the Barrs team. He was good with a freeze brand, had some good dogs, and was nice to visit with- but even the best of folks can get mixed up with the wrong crowd. We will remember him for the way he was before things went south. Don't be upset with Crystal, she did what she had to do, not what she wanted to do. At least Chance went down wearing his pink ruffley panties like a man, and we can all admire him for that. Wish he hadn't gotten so mixed up with those Barrs.

      Well boys, everyday I come home and check the status of this little debate and set those brave few of you straight for talking sh** about us girls. Well the one thing ya'll have protecting ya'll is distance. I see ya'll as the visitors that come to the zoo to see the lion. The visitors feel safe because of the 8" of glass that keeps them seperated and out of harms way. But, for one unlucky fellow the cage door accidentally got left open today. You all have yourselves to blame for this, as Chance sometimes lacks the capacity to give adequate forethought. He has blindly set his self up to walk right into the lion's mouth. I have read his 10 laws and have found no humor in them at all! So as I sat here thinking I have thought of several things that will make it feel as though I have regained my dominate position and taught Chance a lesson. By no means do I mean to kill him but, today will be a life changing experience for him.

     While I am not a professional at administering the tortures, surgeries, castration, and gender change that I am about to perform, I feel that there is no better way to learn than to practice hands on! I have sent Chance out for a few moments to feed the animals for the afternoon because I am sure I will be to tired to take care of them myself once I am done with this project. Once he comes back in the house I plan to lure him in with some sexy lingerie when he takes the bait I will inject him with the tranquelizer shot, tie and gag him, hook him up to the IV of Dextrose, and then get creative with all of the other things that I have laid out. The alcohol is not for sterilization, as cleanliness is not my concern, it is for when he begins to come to. I will poor that along with a little salt into the open wounds just to make sure the lesson sticks. The bloodstop is only to keep him from bleeding to death. As I said, I do not wish to kill him only teach him a lesson.

     So for all of you other brave guys out there. Always know what your opponent is capable of and know the tools that she has at her disposal. Also on a side note, Underdog, I understand you will be coming over this afternoon. I will be going back and looking through the post to see which side you have been supporting.      Well, I have came across two incriminating videos of the Barr's teammates!  >:D ;D With only a few days until the competition, a couple of the guys have realized that there is no chance they will win against the girls so they have started to practice wearing the girl panties. Now, these are not the actual panties they will be wearing after the hunt, they just thought they made them look pretty. I hate to call them out but, I am pretty sure the first video is of Chatty Kathy and the second is of Steve(who I must admit looks pretty defeated in the video). Yes jason it was the red hog!!I got pictures...The dogs left trailing by the bull pond and bayed him on the south side of the big canal ditch!!He broke went to  the old cow pens dogs stoped him there ..He kept crossing the ditch back and forth!!We sent the catch dog and thats all she wrote for him!!! We tied him on the edge of the ditch!!

In order for the hogs to count in this contest, the team members must provide a photo of all team members  with the hog, in the woods, topless.   If the final rule is not followed, the hog does not count. :o

Is the ranch near a nursing home or elementary school? Mine used to bay small children, the elderly or anyone else who showed weakness or fear. But I'd rather catch and tie in that instance.

Umm.... It's a good thing us girls won the coin toss for the mule if we are going to catch and tie the elderly. We can load a few of them in the back and just drop them off at the trucks as the mule bed fills up. No problem.

Just tied another......going after big boy now, only 18 minutes to make it happen.

My wife Laura and I had a great time last night.  Good times with good people.  We had our 2 year old in the ER at 5PM yesteray with a viral infection, but due to the help from a GREAT sister-in-law were still able to make the first part of the hunt.  We didn't get any hogs while we were there but a call from Chris confirmed that the BARRS should be eating some cookies in the next couple hours!  Wish we coulda been there for the finale but I'll be eating my cookies at home!  Thanks for the invite......didn't get to see the hog-dogs in action but there are some GREAT skunk dogs in Fayette County as I type this!  ;D
Don't worry.....If mine woulda been there they woulda brought the skunk back to the four-wheelers and laoded it up for us!  ;D
