Title: 08/27/09 Brazos River Boar (Pic Heavy) Post by: got2catchem on August 27, 2009, 11:42:17 pm Decided to make a hunt tonight. My buddy Clint, Cassey(ol lady AKA expert), and myself took my potlickers Mudd, Levi, Styker and my new prospect from my buddy's stock in Buffalo Hank. For catchdogs we had my wifes dog Sadie and Clint's dog Ruby.We headed out to a property that has the Brazos River and a couple small creeks running through it. We started the dogs off in one direction and they went about 800 yards with no luck. When they checked back in, we headed the other direction and the dogs went about .6 miles on the Garmin and struck, where one of the creeks runs in to meet the Brazos We started heading that way, when I notice on the Garmin that they were heading our way. We waited for them to get near and got the catchdogs vested up and cut them loose about 60yds from the bay. Talk about luck!!! ;D I t was a good hunt and we ended up with this nice boar.
