Thanks, they're mutts. Sire (black dog) is English pointer with some pit and lab in him. Dam is the runt  I held back out of my old gypsy dog(Bmc/catdo) and a buddies blue tick, so the pup mostly Pointer&bluetick with a little lab,pit,Bmc,catahoula & dogo.

The sire is short to medium range. Hunts like a bird dog. Very ground oriented although he winds from the truck consistently. I do a lot of cast hunting. Son has only been in the real woods a few times. Follows his dad and will stay with him....In a wooded pen he will catch anything under 100 after a few mins
