Judge, what's the cheaper version of comfortis called... I may need to try it. You're right, comfortis turns your dogs into flea killing machines. I've used it several years now and nothing compares to it... and I only use it 2 maybe 3 times a year.

I use advanced tree and shrub plus cattle tags don't have any problems with fleas or tics when we go to Missouri to hunts the seed ticks are terrible but are gone by the time I get home good luck

patz...buy the one that does not have fertilizer in it...and it does not have to be "bayer tree and shrub"...there are other brands that have the same active ingredient...

Can you get the Nexguard without going through a vet?

This is the generic brand of admire. 1 1/2 cc down the back. It will get every flea on the place that bites the dog. Fox hunters have used it for years. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/23/raha8eby.jpg)

A friend got it for me. I guess you could google it & find a supplier. I put it on once a month.

I know that we all  need to be economical when we have a higher number of dogs, but as fas as flea preventions go, nothing I've ever seen/used/sold to clients over the years comes close to the effectiveness of Comfortis.  It'll kill any fleas already on them within hours, and keeps them flea free for 30 full days. I didn't even need to use it in the winter months. Works amazing. When I can afford it, that's what all my dogs get.
