I got a 6 month old female cat/pit thats super hyper she won't stop barking I've put bark collar on her it don't really bother her. An she will grab my bmc by the collar an drag him all over the yard when I let her out of the pen. I also noticed her jumping out her 5 foot high pen. Other then that shes a good dog has a lot of hunt in her. She seems to be a different dog when we go hunting no bark just work. I got high hopes just wish I could stop the barking at the house if anybody got suggestions let me know.

I know you said the bark collar does no good. Have you tried a BB gun? It's to the point where all I have to do is shake it and the yard gets quiet.

I agree with the bb gun method.... mine will hit the back of there houses with just the shake of a can with bb's in it

If not that the crack of a bull whip and you can hear a pin drop in my yard

Definatly a red ryder will do the trick, also if you have a pretty accurate throwing arm a can of green. Beens also gets the job done!

The bb gun doesnt stop them from barking just to bark, its more of shut up thing afterwards. U can shoot them till they run scared like yaw say, and my dogs r the same way. Iv had to pop them several times for booger barking in the kennels, but none the less, they still bark just to bark and i have to get n shake the bb gun. It didnt fix or stop anything, it just shuts them up when they do go to barking. I use a shock collar set on high and make sure the first few time before i lit them up, what they were barking at. If it was bullchit barking, hit the cont n hold it for 1-2 sec (5sec n it turns off n u got reset the collar) which puts more shock to them than the nick button. Im all for burnin their a$$es up for doin the exact same thing ur describing.

Get them used to the only collar they hav on them is the shock coolar n when they've learned not to bark, put a regular collar on them n be done.

.22 with rat shot works like a charm!! And if the barking doesn't stop then, put a hollow point in there and be done with it.

If we are going to take care of our dogs and give them great places to live their lives out atleast they can be mans best friend. 80% learn extremely quick (breaking them from anything) with  rat shot and the other 20% deserve the hollow point. No need to pawn them off on another person that "thinks" they can do better. The worms need to eat too!

I don't have a problem with them barking but I have heard of something called a bird house when they bark it makes a high pitch noise that they don't like and they stop barking suppose to work good never tried it personally maybe it would help

I got through 5 pages of reviews n they all were positive. I might invest in a couple. Only draw back is, my dogs also alert me to somebody driving up, but i think the seldom visitor is far less than the garbage tck, ups tck or any kind of rattling trailer or me starting my wheeler. Iv got 1 dog that goes spastic at any of them sound. Hopefully it works as advertised

Save your money on the birdhouse! It may work for and inside dog. Better off to buy bark collars.

Ok, thank for the heads up. I guess ill stay with the bb gun. Mine hav learned to collar thing n stop when it goes on but 5min aftr i take off, they r back to barking. And if i hav a pair kenneled up, they will team up n chew the collars off each other.

I have something similar to the birdhouse thing. It's called the Sunbeam Ultrasonic Egg. It might not work for everyone, but it shut up mine and my neighbors dogs. At first it just irritated them and they were reacting to the sound, but after 2 days they stayed shut up. I figured it was worth a try for $35 and it paid off for me in spades.

You may laugh at this charles but the man i look to for advice told me a littke trick he picked up along the way. He made dummy collars, block of wood sanded smooth roughly the same weight and painted black to resemble a shock collar, he said it was fool proof but it worked pretty good for him and his buddies, may be worth a shot for you.

Id woulda pulled a lil arles n rocked her a$$ off that fence or a bb gun.
Iv got a bitch that will hit the kennel enough times till she moves it off the elevated slab enough for her to slip out. At first i thought it was my male i had in there with her but i pulled him out before leaving n the wife said she got out n the kennel was pushed off the edge just big enough for to get out. Told the wife to wire the kennel to the 50gal water tub till i got home to fix it properly.

yea I should have lit her up. Lol

I tried it to get em to stop barking n box at one time. Dnt waste ur money it didnt affect mine but stopn and pulln em out and giving a good ol fashion butt whoopn does!  ;D

Just chiming in here, they actually make "dumby" shocking collars for the dogs that continue to bark after they know that the shocking collar has been removed, they're just like the real thing just don't work but hey it might do the job

Dummy collar may work, our dogs definitely know when the collar is off or on.  Butt whoopin always works.  May try putting her on a chain, gives her some leg room but still tied down. We've had some dogs do much better on a chain rather then in a pen.
