Title: Clifford... looking to breed
Post by: Mike on September 09, 2009, 10:17:48 pm
Clifford is 1/2 American Bulldog 1/2 catahoula coming on 7 years old this winter. Well proven and has caught hundreds of hogs in his time, many as the solo catchdog... has never been bred.

Looking to breed to a well built, proven, performance bred American Bulldog. I want half the litter in return and the other half should have no problem selling to cover costs. Other options can be discussed.

Breedings to other dogs can also be discussed for a small stud fee... i'm only interested in the 3/4 AB 1/4 catahoula cross.

Call if you have the right female or are interested in another cross.

Thanks Jug, but i'm really only interested in crossing him over the right American Bulldog as far pups for myself and hunting partners.

But if you are interested in crossing him over your dog, it could be arranged.

I can vouch for ol' clifford, he's a brute, great handle and listens.....could've drug me up that creek and back down but just kept the lead tight enough to HELP me up.... Mike- I'm having to hang on to China cause Red is down for awhile, from a dang stray dog to make it worse, but I've been workin China hard to get her timidness gone, her hunt and drive are no problem and now she is ready to go, hunt, play, seems to have came around...She will be coming in pretty soon, if your still interested just let me know!!! Or lets go huntin and I'll bring her too!!!

Mike I got a dog you might be interested in if she isnt bred (not sure now, thought she was) next time she comes in Id definately be willing to do this for getting rid of half of a litter right off.

She is an AB, 2 years old has had one litter and did great with them last year. I don't hunt her much because the guy I hunt with has a female ab in the pack already and with my male and his male being proven adding another bulldog would be just pointless, so she is basically a house pet but has caught before and caught hard, she is 90-100 lbs. Let me know if your interested, if she isnt bred now, Id be willing to try with Clifford when she comes back in (probably 4 or 5 months)

Mike..
Don't know if your interested or not. I have a big AB gyp.
She is full blood. she is akc registered.
She usually weighs about 100-110lbs. pretty leggy.
She won't be coming in for about 3 or 4 more months.
I bred her to my dogo last heat.
She is our house pet but catches hard too. She has been on a few pigs.
She is a lead in or running catch.
Just thought I would throw it out here. if not thats cool.

No I do not. The friend I got her from couldn't find her papers when i got her.
I was showed them on the internet one day. But can't find out how to get back to them.
All I have to do is get ahold of NKC tho.
I just haven't done it because I really wasn't not worried about papers.

Mike,
The pictures I posted doesn't do her much justice. lol
I took a couple yesterday that look more like her.
She is also our catch dog right now since Gringo is on the injured list.

Bar M,

She looks like some of that old Prell lines.  I still have some, but no females.  Good bone, muscle, and in my opinion are the best line of big ABs out there, if any can be found.

Hey Mike,
Good pick on those two dogs, I think they would make nice pups with Clifford.  I didn't know we were going to be breeding Clifford now but OK.  Between Tweety's pups and Clifford's pups our house is going to look like a puppy kennel.  ;D

Angel,

You know each litter of pups he gets constitutes an opening for one more equine in the pasture for you, right? Work it to your advantage! We need to figure out what rule it is where they have to build us lighted indoor arenas. Wait... isn't that for them having three litters in a 12 month period? Darn, we need to check into arena lighting and gate latches!

Sorry mike, I get to see both sides of the coin on this issue  ;D

Cheers
M

Hey Mandy,
I love your idea!!!!  Look out Mike since we're about to have a litter from Tweety and then you want two for Clifford, I believe that qualifies me for a riding arena.  Woo Hoo!!   ;D   ;)
