I got a dog with tape worms and i am wondering the cheapest/safest way to kill them???
I am wanting to use safeguard (liquid) but i am wanting to know the forsure dosage on that. I was using the tube but I dont want to go that route after all. I would gladly aprichate all the info you call will help me with. THANKS BOWHUNTER

Look on the internet for fish worker...about the cheapest way to get it...

I use fish tape forte, got it on ebay for about 6 bucks for like ten pills.  one pill will take care of 50 -60 pound cur dog.

    10-4 on the praziquantel !  safeguard will not kill every type of tape , but the praziquantel will and in one dose not a three or five  day deal .   I switched to the equimax and finally knocked out the tapes in my dogs . I wormed and wormed and wormed with the safeguard and was still seeing tape segments in a couple dogs and until I switched back to praziquantel I was constantly fighting that safeguard resistant tape  .

Safeguard liquid cattle wormer. It works great and will kill tapes. I gave my gyp that is 55 pounds a 10cc dosage first day and 8cc next day and she was great after that. Don't b scared of the dosage it won't hurt them everybody I know been doing this for many years. Jmo

Can someone post pic of a safeguard liquid wormer... I have a bottle that I think is less thank 15cc's

Do what you want but that safeguard will not kill tape worms from fleas.there are 2 types of tapes.

How do you treat em big nasty??

Zemectrin Gold  One dose the size of a pencil eraser. Dogs will sh3t dead worms next day ;)

        Those are the segments of the worm.from what I have been told and seen that isn't a positive to a treatment. Most of the worms are killed and digested. Seeing segments and worms alive or dead are signs of worms .

That may be, but by the third day my dogs are worm free from one dose

fish wormer for tapes with the active ingredient praziquantel...about the cheapest way to get tape worm meds...might as well get 1 or 2 bottles so you can have the pills for future wormings...works great with one pill per dog...

Drontel, little more expensive but the only wormer I completely trust.  I've had mixed results with ever wormer mentioned on this thread but not the Drontel pills.   You better get rid of the fleas too or you'll just have tape problems all year.

Drontal is a good triple wormer with praziquintel in it .
I prefer equimax over zimectrin due to the high dose of ivermectin in equimax also lower dose of praz.
