Title: Motivational speaker
Post by: reatj81 on July 22, 2014, 10:11:34 pm
I tagged along on a nice short summer time hunt this morning. Buddy of mine gave a 12yr old young man a hog hunt for his birthday, and brought 3 buddies with him.  These four young men had a good time and got to stick a pig.  They were fun group and very well behaved young men.  It is a pleasure to say their are still some kids being raised good.  At the end of the hunt, gather around shade tree discussing dogs.  The discussion was very good with several strong opinions,  and all having the ability to back them up.
Never saw this one coming, a new guy to the group decided it was time to open the eyes of another young man with us.  We got to here a very passionate motivational speaker, talk to the young man.  I hope he saw the light, I know I left with a new drive to be the man I was created to be.
Thanks.

I agree with you Jody. It was fun and that speech is lacking in a lot of young peoples lives. Sometimes I think there are some things we shouldn't leave up to our kids to figure out on their own. While I know the young man being talked to has heard that speech before, I think it makes a big impact when someone they look up to besides family says it. I am glad to be surrounded by good people to hunt with that make such positive impacts on myself as well as the young people that often accompany me on hunts. I hope one day they are able to appreciate the advice. Mr guest speaker I thank you for your help and words of wisdom.
