Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Reuben on September 22, 2014, 08:07:58 pm maybe it is a little early for her to accept a male or maybe a little too late...
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Bdog09 on September 22, 2014, 08:14:08 pm Well the problem is all the males get there a$$ kicked and then there scared 2 try her again tried 4 different males now all Pansy's.. Do u think a more experienced stud and I snub here 2 the fence?
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: hoghunter71409 on September 22, 2014, 08:30:40 pm I had an old female that is exactly like you are talking about. It didn't matter what I put in the kennel with her, as soon as they tried to mount her, she would run them into the corner like she was fighting mad. Other than tying her up, I don't really know what else you can do.
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Cajun on September 22, 2014, 08:35:47 pm You can either get a rape stand or hang her up and hold her head. It is very important not to let a gyp eat up a male dog, especially a young one. Might be like Reuban said, she might not be ready.

Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Bdog09 on September 22, 2014, 08:47:38 pm Thanx guys I hav a texas terrier bitch and is like another bit can't remember the number from where I got her u guys ever hunted behind them?
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: MrsLouisianaHogDog on September 23, 2014, 10:10:22 am Make sure it's the right time in her cycle. Right before your attempt, take her for a good walk and wear her out. Muzzle her. Have someone stand in front of her and hold her head and front end straight, and have another person help the mail and keep her rear end lined up straight. That works well for me with the bulldogs.
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: T-Bob Parker on September 23, 2014, 11:50:45 am Pardon my intrusion, but having said you've tried her with 4 different males, are you just breeding her to any dog with a set of nuts of what? im guessing you like the bitch and so you figure any male will do?
sounds like the males your going to are pretty young or theyd ray rice that bitch and get theirs. ;) Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: kerreydw on September 23, 2014, 04:43:30 pm When I was a kid my Grandfather had some rank pit females, they would fight in heat at any time during the heat cycle his brood pen was made out of 4 inch panels he cut a hole in one so the females head would fit through and then tie her off. Only problem with this is you got to be there during the whole prosses to make sure nothing goes wrong.
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Bdog09 on September 23, 2014, 07:50:41 pm Thanx 4 the advice guys.. Tbob yes I lik my female she's a good aggressive dog with a lot of bite just a lil 2 much bite wen it comes other dogs lol all the males hav a similar disposition but not enough experience kinda lik a teenage boys 1st time I got a good experienced male this go around so I got high hopes
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: ferris tx on September 24, 2014, 08:46:41 am I would just get in there and do a demonstration for them so they will know. Lol

Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: slckhunter1978 on September 24, 2014, 10:14:04 am Just sounds like shes not ready
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Nannyslayer on September 24, 2014, 10:16:49 am Just sounds like shes not ready Sounds the same to me. When our cat gyp came into heat we put her in the pen with our walker and she whooped his butt. Next day he bred her no problems. Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: ferris tx on September 24, 2014, 04:15:09 pm Usually they come into heat bleed a little first week then bleeding stops and now during second week the breeding process takes place where she's either gonna back up and take or not. At least that's the way my gyps work. Most people I know has the same process.
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Bdog09 on September 24, 2014, 08:35:50 pm Ya ik how the heat cycle works breed dogs b4 no problems thanks for the info tho
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: ferris tx on September 24, 2014, 09:00:25 pm Ok so how long has she been in heat
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Reuben on September 24, 2014, 09:08:26 pm the heat cycle is 21 days...the first 9-10 days she bleeds and will usually accept a male between 10-thru day 14 give or take a day or 2...I do not worry much about it. I just watch her when she throws her but up and backs up to the kennel and the males lick her behind and she starting winking and throws that tail over she is ready...turn a male in and it usually is foreplay for 15 minutes before she gives in...if she is a fighter those 15 minutes can be hard on an inexperienced male...by the end of the fifteen minute he might not want anything to do with her...maybe...
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Bdog09 on September 25, 2014, 09:23:56 pm She's out now she usually is swelled for 3weeks
Title: Re: Need her breed Post by: Bdog09 on September 26, 2014, 10:50:10 pm I think I'll just get my own male make things easier I like 2 hunt females I personally think they hunt better and mind better
