Title: raw feeding?
Post by: sandbank slayer on January 14, 2015, 04:22:54 pm
I'd like to hear the good, the bad, and where to get the meat product at a decent price. I'm in jewett, tx so anyone around me that's feeding a raw diet chime in. How do the dogs look and act? We are thinking about making the switch so let's hear it all. Thanks in advance.

No I haven't, I've seen a couple different post. I was just hoping someone in my area may be into it and would comment

Raw for dogs is great for them but it takes some work and depending on how many a freezer. We have feed raw for about 5 years and do not have any skin issues anymore and the only down fall their nails grow a bunch. You have to feed meat, organ meat and bone. Their is a forum called the raw feeding community that can give you a lot of insight and help. If their is a slaughter house or butcher shops, can ask if they sell scraps. Put ads on Craiglist for freezer burnt  meat. We feed 13 dogs on raw and raised 3 sets off pups and they are very healthy but I work at a slaughter house so I can afford to.

My main meat source is chicken from Walmart. 59 cents a pound. 118.00 every two weeks just about.
