Unless they team up with another gps company like Magellan or whoever is out there. My company owns 4 satellites and rents data from 16 more, which are mostly owned by garmin.
I run both telemetry and gps collars on my dogs. All my dogs are long range dogs and a lot of the areas we hunt they can get away from us and take us awhile to get around to them. Telemetry collars have never let me down, but the garmins I can only pull 1.5 miles to 2 miles on good days. Now they are nice when the dogs bay. Some telemetry collars have a tree light on them but the dog has to be elevated on a tree for it to go off, which unless your dog bays a hog standing on it's hind legs, it's not going to work. m trying this 5/8 wave antenna on my garmin. Hoping it will track my dc-50's up to 5 miles. I don't think they make them anymore, but have seen used ones for sale for pretty cheap
