Title: Hog Hunting Contest
Post by: Jared H. on February 09, 2015, 06:36:23 pm
There's a local hog contest coming up. If I read the entry form right for dogs it's total weight, as many hogs as you can catch and extra money to enter biggest 5. But if you enter the gun contest part of it then it's biggest 5. Just wondering if this the norm. I always thought a good contest would be top 5 instead of having to turn in every hog you catch. Don't know alot about the contests but that's why I'm asking.

Yeah, normally it's the heaviest 4, 5 or 10 hogs with the total stringer weight being a side pot.

Thanks Mike, that's what I was thinking just wasn't sure. Thought it was odd that the gun teams were biggest  5 but dogs were total stringer weight.
