Throw ya a live chicken or rabbit near its den and hope the yotes, coons n possums get in the trap first. Hec, id buy the critter off of ya if u could catch n kill it

Iv killed several of them i just dont have the time to set and wait on him. Figure id sacrafice a trap just to see if i could catch it but if not il just go shine it and pop it with my 22 like the others.

A guy I hunted with in is on his families land used to trap badgers in the winter and he used rabbits and chickens, just had to kill the yotes, skunks, coons n possums. He caught more of them than badgers, but sold the pelts on everything but the possums. He used traps like this to start off with till he built his own, but bigger to hold more than 1 critter at a time.

we dont have badgers here so correct me if im wrong. But how bad would the badger whip the dog ? I heard them are some crazy mean sob's...my buddy climbed a tree one time and shook a coon out. I was standing knee deep in the creek with the light. When the coon hit the water and started swimming i decided to grab it by the tail. BAD DANG IDEA! i thought i would never get that sucker off me !! Once he realized we were fighting he didnt want to flee anymore. When i finally got it off he kept coming after me in the water. He knew he was whipping my butt and didnt want to stop..haha.. GOOD TIMES I GUESS.

Iv seen the aftermath of a badger and a set of greyhounds. All 4 of the stags involved where seasoned yote dogs that could handle a yote by them selves and from what i could tell it looked like they coulda used somemore help haha. I dont thank il try my luck with the dogs i got. Im on the list for a jagd but i hope i got that ol badger killed by the time i get the pup and get it raised.

I hunted Jagd terriers in holes for coon and badger when I was a kid. That is what a terrier is meant to do. They go to ground and get after whatever is in there. If you use a terrier make sure your ready to dig him out.
