Title: Marked Boar Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on June 07, 2015, 04:50:53 pm Finally got a night off and exercised some Yellers. Lil man got to get his hands dirty right off the bat with a boar that was drifting through the lease. Someone awhile back had looked at him before and had ear notched him, but forgot to Barr. He sure would have been good eating if they had finished up their marking process. Good times with Strikedogkennels and Indianvalleyranch.

I've marked boars by cutting the tail only without barring them to keep good boars as stud hogs in the woods - if that makes sense.

Title: Re: Marked Boar Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on June 08, 2015, 12:19:40 pm That's a confidential question there Mike with a inconclusive answer!
But perty sure he will taste the way he should next time. ;) Title: Re: Marked Boar Post by: Mike on June 08, 2015, 12:27:13 pm :-X :-X :-X... ;D
Title: Re: Marked Boar Post by: Indian Valley Ranch on June 09, 2015, 02:15:51 pm Sure had a good time, I think Hunter brought us good luck. Catching one 5 minutes into the hunt never happens these days, more like run them for 5 hours and then he might be ready to bay up. I guess this piggie forgot to pump up his Nikes. I'm sure he won't forget next time ;D
Title: Re: Marked Boar Post by: YELLOWBLACKMASK on June 09, 2015, 03:22:14 pm No doubt. Lil man was still pumped at daylight while I was halfway slobbering on myself. Haha!

If they have good color or show a lot of Russian in them. Wide & tall in the front & low & narrow in the rear. I like to let them breed.

Wish Russians had never came into East Texas.....its been downhill ever since. :'( Title: Re: Marked Boar Post by: CHRIS H. on August 14, 2015, 12:27:56 am Nice boar hog !
