Shouldn't be a big deal. It's history people take pride of where u from and the good from it . As far as the bad of all the history we should recognize it and learn from it,but don't destroy it cause some political votes.

Yep and it's a bunch of horse sh@t.One coward goes into a church full of innocent folks and commits a hanus act like that and just because on some Facebook picture he's got a confederate flag it makes everyone who fly's the flag a racist.B.S.....I'm so sick of all of it America is a equal opportunity country and that's it period.Any man or woman of any race can achieve whatever goal they work for even the highest of honor's the presidency of this great country.Stop crying,tattling and pointing fingers at the people you say are suppressing you get of your asses go to work make your own path and do something to better yourselves.The flag doesn't have anything to do with people killing people it is a representation of the southern states and is still in use today we don't have new flags knor do we want or need them.

Heard Limbaugh said it wouldn't stop with the Confederate flag.   Next it would be the Texas flag and then they would probably make a case to do away with the US flag too.

I'd like to do away with B.E.T , NAACP, AND SEVERAL OTHERS that are specifically for African Americans.  I'm not racists by any means, and consider  a couple of black people good friends of mine. But If white people had a specific channel  called W.E.T (WHITE ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION) that would be considered extremely racists. Or how about the N.A.A.W.P (national association for the advancement of white people) that would be considered an extreme act of racism .. I say do away with all of it , slave days are long gone. I don't owe anyone anything,  nor does anyone owe me.  Get the chips off the shoulders and act like you have some damn sense.  I have had this same conversation with African Americans  that i know and they feel the same way. There's an old black man that owns a tire shop close to where I live where my family does business and has done for years, he has a sign on his door that is hand written (by him) and it reads "pull your DAMN pants up or leave". He don't put up with the bull and won't tolerate any thugs that want to dress and act like idiots. He'll tell you straight up, these young punks were shorted on there share of ass whoopings while they were coming up or they wouldn't act like that .

if they are gonna ban the confederate flag, then they should ban ALL other flags that are NOT the american or a state flag. folks want to show pride for their country of origin or of family heritage and can fly their flags all they want. if they are so proud of their country and that heritage, then pack your bags and get the hell out. i just ordered another csa battle flag. it and the texas flag will fly, but I'm turning the american flag upside down. this country is in sever distress and is overrun, overrun with illegals, and overrun with tyrants. I'm gonna chain my man biter under the pole and he won't let anyone near it.

I wasn't raised in the south and I haven't studied the history on the confederate flag so I'm not the best person to ask about what to or what not to do with the flag. But I do know this, it has different meanings for a lot of people, not just racist meanings. I told my ol lady (black woman) that if they ban and burn all confederate flags in the world the racists might start using the American Flag as their symbol. Will be ban the American flag from being sold then???

   lol  that's right treez .  if the flag is a symbol racism and slavery , they were held for a much longer period of time under the American flag .   hell I'm offended by oreo cookies  lol   how come them two black cookies are surrounding that soft white middle ?

   and as well the American flag was flying high and represents the genocide practiced by whites and blacks of the indigenous peoples that owned this land before the anglos and Africans got here  .

It's more than a flag these people want

Oh they just found a replacement flag for the confederate flag it's now rainbow colored this country has gone down the crapper.

It's funny how much this flag means to different people.    Ya Robert we are in trouble I worry bout my kids and there kids the baby boomers had the best America had to offer. I hope we can regain our once great glory but I think there are way more different clicks in american then the big family we use to be

   I'm black and it doesn't really bother me. A lot of black men died for that flag. They volunteered for the confederate army.

BINGO !! Now days the flag is simply a part of history.  Weather black or white,  people died for it. That fact alone needs to be respected.  Do I support the flag? Yep, because it's history. Am I a racist? Nope. The "n" word was a bad word when I was coming up. I'm 27 years old and if I were to say that word my mama would slap my face right now. We were taught to show respect to everyone.

The flag it's self is cool as hell just to look at not many flags look that good. If we ban a part of our history then we are sure to repeat it in some form.

Halfbreed...since you threw that in there about the American Indian I thought the below writings would fit as well...

I agree the Dixie flag is a beautiful flag and I appreciate the look...whomever designed it did a great job...My mothers side of the family were mostly well to do Spaniards who owned quite of bit of land in Mexico and we still own that land...8 miles wide and 11 miles long...but it was abandoned during the Mexican civil war because the could not defend the mini fort that still stands there...so the migrated to Texas...My dads side of the Family were born in Texas...Grandfather in 1882 and great grandfather before that time is about as far back I can go...Humanly I probably have as much Indian blood as some American Indians claim...but legally it does not count which was created by the new American law which is probably not right...my personal theory as usual and strictly my opinion...

That is why I always say the pen is mightier than the sword...whomever documents will go down in history and after a while that becomes common belief...
