Title: what is a mellman cur, and what is good and what is bad? Post by: brdhuff123 on September 10, 2015, 02:46:42 pm I recently picked up a pup from a good friend of mine and it 1/2 mellman 1/2 his stock and i have to only black pup that was in the litter. He looks just like the few mellmans i have seen on the internet i cant really find anything about the dogs i am just wanting to learn a little about the breed and the good stuff and the bad stuff and how its bred and how to cross them. He is by far the best pup ive seen at his age with all the hunt drive and brains you can ask for in a dog just wanting a little info, it will be greatly appreciated

Mellman is the name of the guy they come from, I don't know him from Adam but have a few mutual aqquantances and I believe he hunt and work some around buffalo tx? I'm sure there's somebody on here who will give you a phone number to chat about them dogs

Post by: Pwilson_10 on September 10, 2015, 04:40:30 pm My little cuz gets dogs from him and hunts them for hem and his dogs are med to long range and freaking won't quit a hog we bayed hogs that run for ever bark once and the race on again and we just sit and watch the garmin and in a min they get bayed but they got lots of hart and stay and hunt to them dogs well breed over the years
