I like a mid sized leggy dog in the 45 to 60 pound range. I just prefer something agile and speedy. Something that can catch up and get away at the same time.

Same here the majority of my dogs are in the 50# range. I have a big cat that runs about 75 and my RCD about 75. Bulldogs about 65 or so.

they say a 50 pound dogs is the best all around for working all day...I like 55-60 pound dogs...medium boned and well muscled...I want a fair amount of speed, agility and power all in one package...

I like my catch dogs very fast, agile, and quick.  Prefer them 80 pounds and up.

I like small cd due to the fact in the thick stuff bigger dogs get hung up to much I have used big cd they work great in some areas tho. But when a bigger one gets there they can hold good. I have just always had better luck with smaller dogs

I prefer mid to smaller gyps between 42-45 lbs.  I think they do best in the thickets and I think they tend to move faster through thick woods.  I do like a big heavy male catch dog in the 75 lb range.  I also prefer mid to smaller dogs because I can haul more of them in my ranger.

Like a good sized ruff dog 60-75# bigger catch dog 75-95# all must be athletes but if they ain't ruff a small dog ain't bad as long as its got enough leg and speed imo.

i like a dog about 55lbs with a good bit of leg, anything bigger than that has a hard time in the thickets and tends to fall back to last in the race, one of the top three dogs i have ever seen was a dog about 35lbs half jag terrier he was a hog dog, he would be there til the end whether it be 6 hours later and was seen him very mant times be the only dog that could take the track, so size really dont mean alot in catching hogs its what ever is under the hood.
