The guys in the background are standing in front of the Saloon. Any guesses what kind of dogs he has got there ? He wasn't what I'd call a dogman when I was growing up, but he had a way with dogs and horses. He grew up in South Florida around Zolfo Springs and Okeechobee in the late 30's and 40's. Hunting was life or death, and he did about all his hunting behind dogs with a .22 or a shotgun. I never heard much about the dogs he ran, he passed away about the time I got interested in them. I know he took a horse and a dog and would run for hours behind the dog and shooting everything they jumped.

Semmes, that is an awesome find man, very very cool ! Anyone that wants to find the picture, do a search for Traces of Texas on Facebook.
