Title: Making own leads
Post by: cowboyup on February 14, 2016, 01:10:40 pm
I want to start making my own leads instead of buying them. How do y'all make yours? Have any pics?

Coated stainless braided cable, aluminum ferrels for the size cable, a hammer and very very solid back stop or a pair of crimpers that look like bolt cutters with holes drilled in the cutting edge, the size rings and snaps you want and get to building. But as georgia posted, the search engine will find most answers to the questions you may have. The search engine is a usefull tool, using the tools provided could possibly yield more results faster than asking a question and waiting on replys.

To be 100% honest i went that route a couple years ago and after building a dozen or so i realized that between the money and time i had put in em I would come out better just buyin em from wildboarusa.

But its the satisfaction of building something. Gotta take pride in it or it will never be cost effective.
