Title: Re: Any type of special license for huntin WMA (public land) Texas Post by: charles on February 20, 2016, 12:28:38 am were yo abe to find out the rules and regs governing the questions you asked regarding hunting WMAs? i was eating to run a section of type 2 land, even edited a friend from that area and he said running dogs was illegal. i looked further into it and even contacted the game warden office in that area for full clarification. end result, i didn't end up running bc it was illegal. with modern technology i.e. the internet. there shouldn't be any reason to ask for the rules and regs when it takes the same, maybe a little more data to find the answer out for yourself than taking someone's word for it and getting a ticket for what you thought was legal bc someone said it was ok other than the governing agency. if there is a hunting rule/reg question, go straight to the horse and by-pass the farmer for the answer, it may be cheaper in the long run. if its looking for ban answer bc the person doesn't want to take the time to do their own research, well then, as in the tattoo world of sayings, good work aint cheap and cheap work aint good. take the time to research and call the proper agencies and get the answer from them, not from another hunter who did/does it that way bc he/she hasn't been caught YET!!! a law abiding citizen shouldn't worry if they are legal if they put forth the effort first, and if all other research fails, call the governing agency before heading out on ole' joe snuffy's word
