This brindle Mtn cur x pit male I raised has been out striking my lead dog the last couple times out at just over a year old, I couldn't be prouder, he has an excellent handle and is just an overall pleasure to hunt with. He struck two fat sows last night, both over 200 lbs, and this boar below about a month ago, his sister behind him in the pic hunts just about the same, just not striking yet (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160226/14685aad0b075740ba12d079021186a3.jpg) Just wanted to share that with yall Title: Re: Young dog striking his own!!! Post by: liefalwepon on February 27, 2016, 01:47:27 am They're pretty tight mouthed, but the Mtn cur line they come from is also, he barks a little pitbull bark when he's looking at a hog, then grabs on as soon as help arrives, he is open in hot pursuit. I have two others from that litter that are doing pretty well but need a little more hog time. I had six pups from that litter originally, but two just didn't suit me, I'll probably cull one more but 3 out of six aint bad!!
