Title: Dog with hernia
Post by: NLAhunter on March 09, 2016, 03:14:26 pm
Haven't hunted in couple days so let dogs out to run around house yesterday. Notice on male puppy had knot behind rib cage kind on side of his belly first thing I thought was it was hernia but couldn't feel a tear in it. This morning got up still same so took him to vet sure enough it was small hernia he found the tear a showed me he said simple procedure should be fine in 10 days. He got hit by good boar hog on Friday didn't get cut but I guess this was when it happened and vet said that could have been it. I thought I would just see if anyone else ever had this happen he is 10 months old(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160309/69fe3fdcf6107c5d7682501aa0154f7a.jpg)

good looking pup....

My male dog  had a big spot come up on his side. It ended up being an abscess. Maybe from a thorn or something. Got as a big as a football. He's all good now but still missing a little hair....

My junior dog got one on his flank from getting cut by a nice boar. I never messed with it, tried to staple it up but he pulled them out so I left it alone. Healed by its self and he's back to hunting 2.5 months later
