Title: Hood rack for jeep Post by: spazhogdog on August 10, 2016, 11:13:59 pm I have a 94 wrangler and am slowly making her my ultimate hunting buggy and my daily driver. I made a dog box for her which is still in progress. I have taken it apart and changing a few things as needed. But I want to make a hood rack to attach to the front bracket, that my tow bar attachs to. My problem is how attach the back of the rack( closest to windshield). My first thought is to make a bracket like the front ones and wield to frame and use pins to attach rack and have easy removal. Here is a pic of my jeep and why I want a rack.

However should you need to get under the hood when it is loaded in a hurry like a fire or whatever you could find your self in a jam.
People have been known to toss a chunk of carpet over the hood and the dogs can stay easier with the carpet. I saw this jeep in the parking lot and it gave me an inspiration, so barr with me while I try and explain,
. I like the door hinge mounts , do u think I could use this concept like our ranger hood.
