Title: Plotts in Spain
Post by: Cajun on April 12, 2018, 06:45:51 pm
Oscar Oseuivera came all the way from Spain and purchased 2 bayou Cajun Plotts.he will hunt them on the real deal over there. Pure European Wild Boar.. When getting the Health certificate stamped he told me they had a lot of Trump supporters over there and they have many of the same problems with Peta and animal rights groups. He said never give up the fight with these anti gun liberals as we all know, once you loose something, you very rarely get it back. I was able to take him on a hunt with Matt Fradella and we caught 4. Nothing big, 75-120#. He enjoyed the concept of catching and tieing as they shoot everything over there.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/74d2b0ae5452891c93a5729db7f6e4d2.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/468f8aad3026e5db2ed8b12ce6756de2.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/5218f086f3b4e65f4377c5b879d5247a.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/6d28596b139f6ac3f28a64dd9ed77823.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/09feff53ce715bcf44ebd1c902e05fce.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/7468f0761cb06b44d6e32b9d0e1bb637.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180412/b6339f665323eb7508a99355bb65a2d6.jpg)

Those Bayou Cajun Plotts are famous all over the world, and have been successful in several nations. Congratulations on a good solid strain of dogs Mike.

I really can’t see the dog on the right...but that dog on the left is a fine looking specimen of a plott hound...

Should’ve sent him halfbreed, them Spaniards wouldn’t know how to handle a piney woods pork puller and a bayou Cajun boar buster all in one body

I like his politics as its the globalist vs humanity, thank you Trump for being the 1st president R or D in many decades to stand up for us/humanity. Praise God!!!

That said I hope his plotts work for him but id recommend a good cur, hounds run hogs, in my opinion, based on seeing it happen over and over, bc one of my best hunting friends hunts them despite my bitching lol, my curs actually bay them and stop them from running a marathon!! dang hounds  ;) Id like to know lion and boar hunters opinion on this as he runs both  popo

Make  em squeal. Somehow these sorry Plotts are able to bay a hog every now & then. lol I hunt with a lot of cur hunters & have converted a lot over to Plotts. Depends on what you want. I like to hear a race but even better, I like to see a bay on the end of it. If I put one or 2 Plotts out, they will bay 80% of the time. A hog dog is a hog dog, whether a cur or a hound & I have been lucky enough to own a few.

That's cool Cajun
Ive been to Spain and seen some of them dogs they run hogs with, I wasn't able to make a hunt with them but If I have to go back I will defiantly line it up. they could use some good looking dogs  ;D ;D

I think if I had the walkers I had when I bear hunted, they would all be dead  by hogs. I had em running to catch . If a bear didn't want to take a tree he was made to or there was a fight . But the hogs around here are gone first sound of dog. But like Cajun said a hog dog is just that...dont matter the breeding.

Hounds running a track are like MMA fighters promoting a fight, they can talk all the smack they won’t as long they can back it up, and not trying to sound like an as$ so don’t spin this out of context but maybe your friend should
get some better hounds, if he’s getting on hogs but not finishing races then it’s more likely a dog issue, and I maybe be wrong on this but I believe in Spain game animals have to be shot in front of a pack and it’s illegal to shoot or catch a bayed game animal...

I agree 100% I have Hound cur crosses but I could see me with one of them Cajun Plotts one day I been eyeing them for a while. I went to adding hound because the curs I had when I lived in Louisiana were hot nosed short ranged because the place I grew up hunting had lots of hogs and the dogs grew up hunting them there they got use to the land they knew where the hogs were if you know what I mean . As I got older I started hunting other places and when I moved to where I am now I really had to come to grips that my old cur dogs weren't that great out of their element and that led me to start messing with hounds I know there is curs that will get gone colder nosed type dogs but they are hard for me to acquire got my first English x Cat cross from a freind and was well impressed bred him back to 3 gyps all with hound blood they suit me ok but always looking for a better dog my dogs will open on track but usually it has to be hot hot or after ones jumped. Parker x Cajun Plott cross Id like to see  :o

Cajun,
Will you tell us a little bit about the two dogs you sent with him. Thanks

Dixie is a 3 yr. old female. She is a fairly coldnosed dog that cast anywhere from 300-600 yards. She is very gritty & catchy. I have to watch who I pair her up with. Good deep bawl when coldtrailing. She has been cut quite a lot & needs no help.     Cajun is a wired up almost two yr. old.  He is a go yonder med. to cold nose dog that also does not need any help. He is what I call a perfect baydog. He will bite a hog in the rear to stop him & then back up and bay. He will catch if he has help or the bulldog gets there. Not quite as coldnose as Dixie but he makes up for it in hustle & you will never see either of them if they are in hog sign until they bay or you tone them in.
