Hey guess has any one rigged up something we’re they can water there dogs in the dog box and it not spill every we’re while driving around

I used to take them small buckets with lids on them, cut a hole in the lid big enough for a dog to fit it’s head into to get a drink. The lid helped keep most of the water from splashing out while driving.

I got a galvanized bucket it’s either a 1 or 2 gallon, I clip it to the side of the box, I still lose water but I keep a 15 gallon tank in the truck that I refill it whenever I pick a dog up or something, we got a 2 1/2 gallon tank we keep on the side by sides or 4 wheelers, I mix one packet of the duMor electrolytes from TSC in the big tank, once the dogs get over the taste differences they prefer the electrolyte water and seem to recoup better and faster...

Mike that’s what I was thinking and was prolly going to do these dang grain fields and weeds about to kill thes dang dogs and figured if I can get water in them as soon as I pick them up would be better then having to go all the way to a creek or and tank to water them before I went to another field

Soon as they got thirsty enough, just about all of them turned their nose up to it at first, but now they will drink that over plain water, I also noticed that when I get them home and unloaded everyone of them has to piss and it's always a good clear color, gives me a little reassurance that they're properly hydrated and that their kidneys are working and functioning good after the stresses of hunting in extremely hot weather, usually my Ben dog would be stove up until the next day, I guess with him replenishing his electrolyte levels quicker his body recovers quicker....

Goose can you be a little more specific with the duMor electrolytes?  l just looked it up on TSC and there are several different ones and sizes.  I sure appreciate it, just about had a dog overheat on Sunday.  We hunt right on through the summer also and it gets humid and hot here in North FL.

I freeze gallon jugs of water,keep them in a cooler.
U can figure the rest out

It’s the TSC house brand I believe, I just by the cheapest ones, they’re less than 2$, I pick a pack up every time I go in there...

Thanks goose Ima start doing that and see how she works I hunt really hard and just trying to help as much as I can when I ask so much from them I want to make sure there taking care of

Another thing I use that helps them out tremendously but they hate it, I carry a spray bottle on the side of the box that I mix wintergreen rubbing alcohol and the blue menthol sports rub in it, I’ll spray it lightly on their chest and along their back line at times, it just opens up their pores and allows heat to escape quicker cooling them off, we hunt right along through summer as well, this time of year I prefer to hunt from mid night through 9–10 the next morning this way I get way more hours of hunting than my buddies who only hunt during the day but having a 5 year old and responsibilities has hindered that a little this year....

Get a 4 inch pvc pipe put a t in the middle with a cap so u can fill it up put caps on the ends add a water spout and a short pice of water house into a bucket so u can just fill the bowl when u wanna water them
