Title: 10-30-09 Boar (pics) 265 Post by: BLUE LACY on November 02, 2009, 08:38:53 pm Caught this boar friday evening around 7 while it was still light out. The dogs winded him off a wheat field with about 15 other hogs. We had 4 bay dogs and a rcd that fortunatley stayed together as a pack and singled this boar out and bayed solid 500 yards later and cross a waste deep creek ;D! We waded across the creek and was seeing all the action! the cd was already tired by the time we got there and was getting wooped off and all the other dogs were getting it handed too them also we didint know what we were goin to do but finally the cd caught and it took a couple of us too flip him then i stuck him and told my two other buddies too start checking dogs out. Ended up having all but two dogs cut pretty good and had too carry the catch dog back and two of us dragging him out which took forever and bout killed me. called another friend too come help drag too nearest road where we tied the cd too a fence and left the hog and went got the truck and took 4 of us too load him! Forgot too say I lost my garmin somewhere along the way too the bay but found it the next morning at the ranch. We got back and doctored dogs and only got a few pics of the Boar with my dog buck bmc. my buddie bo on ethd had his plott, mt. cur, and catch dog, and steven who had a bmc It was a great time and our biggest hog so far with our own dogs. we have caught bigger hogs with our dogs and others but our first good one with ours that we have got and raised and hunted together. thanks for looking!
