Title: New Years Eve Hunt Post by: Cajun on January 01, 2023, 07:58:26 am Two of my hog hunting buddies were in town, Andy and Chad and we got our other buddy Scott to go and made a hunt. Dogs had about give up on me. Anyway we had a great hunt catching 8 or 9. No monsters but most were in the 80-120# range. I had 4 pups 10-12 months old that did everything from starting their own track to baying. Could not have been happier. Got Chads young bulldog on her first catches and she did great. I think it is a combination of the cane, sawgrass and just the marsh grass they travel through. They normally have a thick wooly coat until about December and then start loosing their hair. I have caught them in the past and had them in a pen and they never lost their hair.
