Title: Cut advise Post by: Gibson on February 21, 2017, 09:04:18 am I got a dog that got a poke in what I guess you would call his knee. It's not a bad cut, just in a weird spot. You could see clear to the bone when it happened. He doesnt mind me poking around on it or bending the leg. Theses no sign of infection and minimum swelling but it's been 3 days and he still refuses to use the leg at all. Have any of y'all had this happen? I imagine he's bone bruised up pretty bad, could be a slight fracture, coulda got a patella tendon, I'd do as you've been advised, see if he dont get to using it more as time goes on. Other thing is just wash it out good every day with hose pipe before u hit it with the cut n heal. Good luck

Try bending his leg at the knee, if it dont flinch or yelp, check his hip joint, crazier things have happened, and a big ol boar coulda hit him hard where he is poked but spprained his hip joint.
