Title: 11/11/17
Post by: Slim9797 on November 12, 2017, 06:15:47 pm
Kicked these 2 gyps of mine out again yesterday and they done their job again. Put the brakes on a nice piggys sow that tried to run and knocked the leaves out the trees baying her. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171113/8e15b16426c91d4a89f8d7750e6d7842.jpg)

I believe so Mike. She goes back to Winchester/tweety and tater blood on her moms side. She's making strides for sure. When her mind catches up with her body she will be a dog no doubt. The yella gyp ain't doing too bad either. They're working well together for the most part

You can't hunt them near water Slim... they'll be baying the ducks.

That ol Molly gyp was born on top of hill in Cistern... she was also hit by a car on 95 just north of Flatonia at 8 months old. That's what crippled her for life.

Ben Besch owned and bred her momma, Brandy, who was a Tweety/Winchester daughter. My buddy Clay Pope got Molly, Circle C got Ruby and I got Hunter, Striker and Big Joe all at 8 weeks old.

After her wreck, Molly changed hands and was bred several times. She finally ended up in Oklahoma with Jameson. I've bred my Jase dog to her twice in the past two years... Jase is out of her brother, my old Hunter dog.

That blazed faced gyp that you said looked like a Mellman dog is out of Jase and Molly.

Mike do you know an older gentleman named Douglas Mica from flatonia. He has dogs. Lives just north of town? If so we have a family place that backs up to the south side of his home place right off 95 and I hog hunt around there every so often. I've also got some good acreage in cistern I've never touched that I'm looking forward to hitting after deer season.

No, never heard of him. Back then we could hunt the west side of 95 from I-10 all the way north to Pavlica Rd. Also hunted Ben's place in Cistern quite a bit. We did our Wounded Warrior hunts out there every year.
