Title: Barring a boar???
Post by: ccrockett25 on November 17, 2017, 07:36:06 pm
Does anyone do anything special when barring a hog? Been just cutting them and sending em on there way. Caught one Monday and then caught him again on Thursday he was full of magets. Just wondering what everyone else does. Thanks

Scrape the cord... either with your knife or thumbnail. They bleed less that way and usually survive just fine.

The flys are so bad it's better to do it when it's cold but what mike said is the best

he'll over it worms want kill him ..what kills em is if they get dog chewed to much....i just pop it out and cut the cords with my knife but  my son jerks it out .....i just can't jerk it out i feel sorry for the hog even though i'm sure the knife  don't feel good  either ...
