Title: Another Good One Gone Post by: Austesus on December 24, 2019, 11:05:03 am Been a hard year for me and my hunting partner. He’s lost a few dogs that were starting to come on good, and I lost my lead dog and catch dog just recently. He called me last night to tell me his bulldog Patches passed away. He had a cyst on his testicles, vet looked at it and said it wasn’t cancerous, gave him antibiotics and said they might have to neuter him. Well we hunted the weekend before last and killed a small boar. It poked up a few of the dogs, nothing too bad. Zach went out to give patches a piece of bacon he had just finished off that pig and found him on the chain, already gone. Said his gums were white so I thought maybe there was some internal bleeding that we didn’t know about. Then he saw that the cyst had a small area where it looked like it ruptured, so not sure exactly what happened. He was Zach’s first dog, you could hunt him solo and he would find and catch his own pigs.
