Title: 3/6/20 Hunt Post by: Cajun on March 07, 2020, 08:47:44 am Had a good Hunt yesterday with Peanut, Donald jr. His Dad and Mike the knife. Caught 3 nice boars and had to call it quits by 10:30 because the dogs all had injuries. Nothing serious except for Amber whose femur artery was nicked and it took a while to stop the bleeding. It makes them look like they are sheded out is that makes sense. These same hogs on drier ground are very hairy but that saw grass is hard on them..

It's funny, they will shed off that wool by summer and grow a new coat. In early winter they really look good but by Jan. they are loosing their hair. Those same hogs on dry ground put on a super heavy coat of hair with that wool undercoat and keep it until they shed it for summer.
