Title: 5/16 n 5/17/20 hunt Post by: Cajun on May 18, 2020, 07:22:33 pm (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200519/18433fedd2b249167f21b027c5ec5b37.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200519/303d0f5243b25fe432ab567e50dda498.jpg)made a hunt with Larry Smith and Mike the Knife with a couple members of the lil lake hunting club. Young dogs did really good. My young dog Squeky cold trailed thru a block n when he crossed the road Larry went and checked him. He was trailing several hogs and Larry turned a young dog in with him. They went about 300 yards and bayed. We caught 2 sows out of that bunch and the dogs squashed some pigs before we got them out. Next day we caught 4 but nothing big.

I figured you had caught all the local hogs and were waiting for more to move in and replace them or option 2 you were having to find new places to hunt because you had caught all your hogs. Whichever option you were using, I'm glad to worked out for you.

Cracker after deer season we finally get the dogs legged up good during Feb. and then we have to lay them up for 6 weeks for Turkey season. It amazes me how soft the dogs get during that layoff.
