Stroker is a big red leopard cross that is getting older, but still the lead dog will range out,  have seen him range out 1000+. You will need tracker for him. Will catch hogs 150 lbs and under. Always catches with catch dog. Trash broke, cattle broke, silent on trail. If there is a hog around, he will find it. He never leaves the trailer without a tracking collar. Ben is a yellow black mouth probably 5. Same as above. Little more gritty. Not culls, losing places to hunt. Also have catch dog, male brindle pit. Knows his job and loves it. Never thought of it that way....makes sense. That's why I like this forum, there is a lot of knowledge and you are never too old to listen to advice.  I was always told that you have 2 ears and 1 mouth...you should listen twice as much as you talk.

Thanks for all the input, I am going to run him a few more times. I think maybe he hadn't been off the chain in awhile and was real glad to get off. The next day he wasn't so mouthy. He is a walker dog, do they normally get more mouthy,less, or stay the same with age?

I run closed mouth dogs, always have. I recently bought a semi open dog, he found a hog this morning, just don't know if I can get used to it. Seems like he would be pushing the hogs?  Opinions?

 I have a lot of places to hunt, except during deer season.  Does anyone know of a place that is fenced, that you can pay to go and hunt?  Like a 100 acre trap or anything like that? I have to much time and money invested in my dogs for one of them to get shot. If anyone knows of a place, please let me know......thanks  Richard 979 412-4029
