Only 49 more states to go! Hooray for Florida !
I-95 and I-75 will be jammed for the next month or so with druggies and deadbeats heading North out of Florida , because this is the first state in the union to require drug testing to receive welfare!
Hooray for Florida ! In signing the new law, Republican Gov. Rick Scott said, "If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free."
Applicants must pay for the drug test, but are reimbursed if they test drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances, won't be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three years!
Naturally, a few people are crying this is unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional? It's a legal requirement that every person applying for a job has to pass drug tests in order to get the job, why not those who receive welfare?
Forward this if you agree! Let's get welfare back to the ones who need it, not to those who won't get a job. I AGREE, DO YOU?
Now if we can just get the Indiana General Assembly to do this! I'd say get Congress to do it but they seem more focused on pissing on the Constitution than getting anything done.

We've had it pretty good up here so far. For the most part it's been in the mid 80's all summer with a few days close to 90 with a lot of rain. We have a joke up here. If you don't like the weather in Indiana, wait about five minutes and it'll change!
We have the same joke about Texas. We have the Gulf of Mexico that dictates our weather and I guess yall have Lake Michigan which is as big as a dang sea. Yeah. I've literally seen the weather here go from snow to all blue sky and sunshine in the same friggin' day! We get two extremes up here. It's either really hot, or really cold. It's never really in between.

Yea but Hoosier, what is the temp there today ? It was 98 here today with a 105 heat index I believe. And hell its still hot out here at 10:25 pm, I'm setting outside sweating.
Up in my neck of the woods it was 83, probably closer to 90 with the heat index and humidity. We've been getting a lot of rain and there was a bad storm in the Northern part of the state. Last summer was just awful for us Hoosiers. I didn't see a single drop of rain, all the grass was dead, and every day seemed like 100 degrees outside.

I have a lil blue pit that is short legged an he is great in cool or cold weather but not so good in heat he gets hot fast an you gotta watch him because he will strike his own hog so hot weather is not his friend
I'd add on to that and say make sure your dog has shade and lots of water to drink when it gets hot outside. We keep a large bucket of water inside our garage for our labs that they can drink out of when they please. We also have a pond for them to swim in so they stay pretty cool. If it's too hot they'll be in the house or they'll just stay inside the garage where it's cool. Its not good to keep a working dog in the a/c during hot weather. If you don t keep them acclimated to the.heat, they will be more likely to have a heat stroke. Keeping them in good, trim working shape with adequate shade and water is best. Really? I'd never heard that before. But then I've never had a dog have any problems with heat stroke so it shows you how much I know. During the day they're both outside probably most if not all of the time.

He was talkin about hoosiergunnut who I also don't think is PETA.
No, I'm crazy but I'm not crazy enough (i.e. stupid) enough to join a far left, liberal group like PETA. No, all my money goes to NAGR and the NRA........and my local gun shops.

I don't let mine get outa hand but I do let them be bulldogs....I would rather have to rein one in and tone him/her down than try and get one to be something it ain't never gonna do. All my bulldogs are good with my kids/other dogs etc. some are a little high srung when young but like I said...tone them down a little and the calmness does come with age and use. I do have a few that will not be so friendly with strangers at the house but I'm quite ok with that. A dude I know was hunting with me a couple weeks ago and my 5 yo was climbing around on the bulldog in the truck and he said "wow, I can't belive that dog don't bother her" ....my reply was "he had better not"..
Well said Sir

The truth is the dogs we use are bred to do a job that requires close handling in excited situations. The dogs that are bred in city's are bred to look mean and be scary. Most of the dogs breed in the city would have a short life on a hunters yard.
This is true! My pit gyp will back away if another dog shows any aggression at all she knows it is not allowed! No exceptions! Right on. I'm just trying to learn here. Most of the dogs I've had have been pets, I've never had a working dog....................yet. Be careful........its an addiction!!! [/quote] I already have an addiction! Its called gun fever! Another one won't hurt anyone........except my bank account

I think I saw my first Cur up here yesterday. Customer had it in his truck at the scrapyard and it looked to me like a bmc mixed with several other breeds. I asked the owner and he said that she had some pit, Labrador and some sort of hound mixed in her.

ok now that where on the subject, No, They are not aggressive they are some of the sweetest pets u can have! I trust mine around small kids an they stay in side during the night an out in the back yard during the day with other some small dogs .. when i hear about a aggressive dog i thing of a (land shark-aka Chihuahua).. them dang buggers hang on your pants like there's no tomorrow.. Hope that help answer your ? ya we give people bull #2 all the time but it kinda what keep some of them days fun..lol .. and people take low blows at other for the fun of it but at the end of the day we all still love the same heritage of hunting hogs with dogs! an most of the time alot of the BS is forgiven to keep this heritage alive for are kids coming up...
Lol. I never get people's obsession with little lap dogs, which I'm convinced are simply overgrown rats that look like dogs. And what get's me, is that when they start biting people's ankles and ripping up that brand new pair of pants you bought, everyone's like "oh isn't that cute!" No! I't not cute, it's pissing me off! And yes it does help answer my question.

Sir..... Are you affiliated with PETA? ?? If I were affiliated with PETA, do you really think that I would call myself "HoosierGunNUt," use a picture of myself and two other people on a firing line as my profile pic, and actually to try to learn about hog hunting with dogs?

Define what TYPE of aggression you're referring to. That'll help for better answers I think. Any and all CD's we have here are big babies with humans, and are tolerant to other dogs...but when they see a hog, and catch one....it's intensity and determination to it's fullest. I wouldn't consider it aggressive per se'. Hope that was helpful input in some way You pretty much answered my question. A lot of the people I know are pretty biased against the breeds that are normally used as catch dogs, (i.e. Pit Bulls) and have it in their head that they're all blood-thirsty monsters or something ridiculous. But that brings to mind another question, how do you train your dog to attack hogs, but not other animals or people?
