I am moving and cannot take these puppies with me. They were born 01/15/2014. They had three rounds of Spectra 7, have been wormed regularly and have gotten Ivermectin for the last two months. I have a dog box for sale. It is 4' x 4' x 32" and divided in two 2' x 4' compartments. welded of 1' angle and utility (4"x4") panels. I also have a couple of pieces of stall mat I lay inside to keep the dogs feet from getting caught under the edge of the box.

The whelping box is built on a 2"x4" frame with 3/4" plywood. Linoleum on the floor for easy cleaning. A hinged gate that lays down to make a ramp, or hinges up to keep the pups in. With a pig rail.

And a Tough Country bumper that came off a 2002 Dodge 1500.

I have looked at all your posts on ETHD and other sites.  I don't see where you hunt.  Until you spend some time in the field, behind a dog, actually hunting, you cannot know its condition.

My thoughts are that if I want someone who can recite blood lines, I'll ask you.  If I want an opinion on the health or well being of a dog, I'll not get it from a picture.  But rather go see the dog.  Or better yet, arrange to hunt behind the dog.  And until you have actually been to someone's property, you do not know how they kennel/keep their dogs.  Its heresay and uninformed opinion.  You should keep that to yourself.  Just my thoughts.

I believe the critical words are, "...engaged in the business...".  That seems to mean that if you have more than 11 intact females and only breed an occassional litter (like you Mr. Mason and most others, here) you are not a commercial breeder under the definition.  I believe the state would have a hard time demonstrating a person was, "engaged in the business" who only bred a few litters per year.

I spent a lot of years reading and interpretting complex legal documents for government and private contracts.  The purpose of this bill seems to be to legitimately curtail the actions of unethical and abusive breeders.  We can lose political capital if we are not careful about our battles.  If we are seen to support the people who run these inhumane puppy production businesses we can lose some of the folks who would support us.

A lot to put up here.  Baby has pups on the ground 4 weeks old.  Been wormed at 2 and 4 weeks.  Will get 7 way at 5, 8 and 12 weeks.  I'll get some pics up in a day or 2.  $100 per pup.

Litter 1)  4 1/2 weeks - 1/2 catahoula, 3/8 BMC, 1/8 pit.  Should be gritty strike dogs.  $75
Litter 2)  4 weeks - 7/8 BMC, 1/8 pit this is a repeat of a previous breeding that produced several good dogs.  All very gritty, good nose, lots of bottom.  $100

Another friend has a couple finished catch dogs.  1/2 pit, 1/2 AB.  $200

Can someone explain to me what was wrong with the article? How does it shed a poor light on hog hunting?
I personally thought the reporter wrote a fair and unbiased article about the hogs. The damage they can do to crops, and the risk of hunting them with dogs.   Nothing I read sounded any different than what I read on here daily.

At what point to dog hunters stop being afraid of what the anti's think, and start standing up for their rights as dog hunters?

Ditto!  Seems a lot of folks are way over thinking this.
