I live around shiro that is a very nice deer for this area.  I have a bro in law training a blood dog right now it's pretty neat alot more interesting than I would've thought.  He's gotten me interested, I've been working with my lab a little he is taking to it pretty good.

I don't understand why you would without knowing what you were turning loose on, I have seen some bad wrecks because of that!

If you or anyone else turns bulldogs loose at a 120 yards and have no clue what you have bayed your not very smart in my opinion!  The bull dog is not meant to be the hero he is there to help you catch the hog.  Almost any dog is going to get in there after the bull dog if your slow or scared ass is not right behind your bull dog which ever one is the case just my opinion. I've been hunting over twenty years and only lost a couple of bay dogs.

That was the plan, after my first post I did a lot of reading about. I decided that's what needed to happen, but when I went back to check on him he was already gone.  Sucks bad that's the second dog this year I'm down to 2 year old ybmc pups, they are started good but far from finished.

My best dog looks like he has it, he is showing all the signs that I have read about.  He hasn't been on a hog in 8 days.  He is the only dog that is sick guess I have to just wait and keep an eye the rest of my pack.  This stuff is bad I've never seen anything like it hope I never have to again.

Blow your horn around them while feeding and then while they are eating 3 or 4 different times.  Mine have always caught on real quick.  While they are still chained up blow it from around the corner you should get some response if they are getting use to it.

If only your dog was stolen I would think it was someone you have hunted him with.  Otherwise why take that risk on a dog you know nothing about.  Or someone you hunt with brags on him alot and talked to another hunter in order for someone to even know he was there seems like a crazy coincidence to me.
