Sneaky Creek Kennels/Curs My ex girl friend named my kennels that years ago because I used to drink a lot of that knob creek whiskey and she always told my that the whisky would sneak up on ya! So we called the whisky sneaky creek

A lot of the streak bred dogs have a little longer hair not border collie long but it's longer and it's not uncommon for mtn curs to have a white blaze and white ring around the shoulders

This makes me wish I would went at it alittle harder when Skud got shot! Dang near the exact same deal! Only I didn't trespass until the guy had already shot him. That was the worst day of my dog hunting carrer! There's no reason for anyone to act like that. Hope nobody had to go through that!

This is kinda mean but it works! I had bought a dog that had not been handled at all and she was close to a year old she was wild as a coyote! I would get in her kennel set on a bucket with her food at my feet. She wanted to come eat but wouldn't while I was in there after a half hour or so I'd pick her bowl up and leave the kennel I'd did the same thing day after day this went on for about a week and a half finally she started getting hungry and would come eat then walk away then come get another bite until she finally stayed and ate the whole bowl when I got this far I'd start trying to pet her whole she ate this didn't go very well but after time I got where I could pet her. This went on for months and months until finally she was just as calm as any other dog I had. Matter of somedays she wouldn't hardly even eat unless I was setting in there with her. She turned into a dang good dog just took awhile before I got to use her

I always look at a armidllos kinda like a dollar bill the wind is blowing. If you see a dollar bill blowing your gonna chase it! That's the way dogs see armadillos! Maybe you need to go out one night and leave the dogs at home take your 22 and kill a few or change the place your hunting to where there's more hogs than armadillos. Sounds to me like they are getting bored and just wanting to kill something. I know myself when I'm out hunting for a certain animal and not getting much action after awhile there's no animal safe!

I have saw several dogs after they get older. I'm thinking they are either trying to call the younger faster dogs back or they are pissed cause they can't keep up with the younger dogs. Just a theory!

I'd say the best bet is get you a catch dog and hit the woods and get the dogs out as much as you can just to see what you got to work with. Don't do like I see a bunch of people do and I done myself and that is put your dogs in a bay pen day after day that will ruin a dog woods time is the only way to make a dog. You don't really know what you need if you don't know what you got. So my advise is figure out what you got in the two you have and go from there. Good luck! It work justa fair warning!

That's a good picture of Trapper. Yes Skud was 1/2 BMC 1/2 Parker and Yotie is a full Kemmer mtn cur. Skud was a longer range dog with tons of bottom didn't matter where you turned him out he was going to find a pig might be 5 miles from where you cut him out but he was gonna find ya one.
Yotie is a shorter/medium range dog with a super cold nose she is what some would call a track straddler where Skud winded more than he tracked. Both Skud and Yotie were really good hog dogs. When I bred them I was hoping to get the best outta both dogs and so far I hadn't been disappointed. The only disappointment is that after Skud got shot I gave em all away and got out of hog huntin. The people that have pups outta this cross are doing real well with them. I'm ready to see how they finish out! Thanks for posting!
