Picked up a new place in Cisco tx met the land owner about 930. I dropped Tank , Bobby and Red on the ground to road , Hum-v and Perves my pup rode the ranger. 20 min into the hunt tank catches wind and rolls out. At 276 yards he is running and starts to yip. Bret turns the ranger around and we head towards tank. At this time my two new dogs are still with me jus following the ranger. We come to a field and tank breaks from the thicket line and starts working the area. Bobby goes to him. We cut off the ranger, at 200 yards I hear tank and Bobby open up. Knew I had a strong bay so I jump off the ranger grab Hum-v and headed towards them. At 125 yards I hear Bobby barking and knew  tank had got a hold, so I cut Hum-v to him. I was nervous this was my first catch on my own, but I got to the bay grabbed a leg and stuck her. Caught hog nice sow
My new red dog never made it to the bay so I got some work there to do , but Bobby and tank are gonna work nice together.

Hum-v is the brindle pit CD
Tank is my BMC ruff strike dog
Bobby is a Kenner cur/plot cross bay dog
Red is a cur mix bay dog
And my pup is Perves a blue tick/ cur cross (strike dog)

Well tonight was an important hunt , one of my hunting friends advise me after all the dry runs we been having that if we didn't catch a pig tonight that jus ment I was bad luck and i would have to jus stay home from now on, lol. Well looks like I still get to tag along
Can say the dogs worked hard hunting , I believe we hit a small sounder by the way the dogs split running tracks  in different directions, but my friends lead dog lined one out and and they all pulled together stopping this little sow, we gutted her and drug her out .
Good times with good people is what it's about

Hell don't feel bad, I have 1500 a and all I find is tracks , rubs and trails.... So far a dry run every time out... I begining to think they jus pass though and don't actually stay ....

Justin looks like your dogs are working good, you been catching multiple pigs on the last several hunts. Good job and good hunt.

Wow , real lucky guys! Glad it worked out for you. Think I would ask the land owner if there was any more wells on the property, jus to be safe.

Yes I'm in Texas , and thanks fixitlouie... I jus want to add one dog, and I want it to be the right dog, and I hope my friends help me out finding one..

I have one BMC he will be 3 in September , one red heeler X (mutt dog) that likes pigs lol  ... And one catch dog American Pitt .  I have asked a couple people to help find me a plott , or hound mix to bring into my pack ...  Barefootbob might have one for me but he has to see if she is gonna make it as a bear dog first, and said he let me know. I also contacted cajun bayou plotts but all his pups are spoken for... But I jus started looking this week...

Took me a bit to realize I really did miss hunting pigs... After selling off most my things, a few close friends have kept me in the hunting world... And I'm very thankful for those close friends.. It's been a tuff year lost my old Yella and a young pup, sold one of my last male curs to a close friend up north (he is hunting good) leaving me with jus two dogs Tank and Hum-V... I honestly tried to jus get out, and leave this crazy sport but it's the dogs I love that put me back here.. With that said Hope to be posting some catches real soon.. My pack is small jus tank and Ol bird (she has come home once again) . But I'm looking to pick up a new strike dog soon , if everything works out and my friend in Florida shoots me a text to come get her...
