Yes we had a good hunt. Great for a new land owner. Tics are really bad and dogs are getting catchy. Glad they left the second one for Diago. When i got to the first bay all four were caught. I just walked beside the hog and stuck it.  The young dogs are working good together. Sidney

Yea what a day we had seeing Diago catching in open field. He ran down the sow across a open field and hammered it. He caught the one at the end of the trailer. Yes we are going to have some good young dogs.

 I will miss him, barking and howling when he heard me pulling up to go hunting. He was crazy about hunting hogs. I had a great day and met some new friends that love to hunt. Sure hate to hear about the lose of your dog. Hard to replace a dog like that. You got the memory's and the good times to fall back on.

I don't think it's about catching or not catching a barr hog. Our land owners wouldn't let us back on there property. The idea for them is to get rid of them. Not to let them go and eat and destroy the land. Catch them kill them or take them with you. Don't cut them and leave them to get fat off my land and crops period. This is just the way it is were we hunt. Five years hunting not one barr hog. Now one land owner cut them off. Took them, and the dead hog home to eat.

I just bought the bikini vest from wild boar, i had them add leg flaps. This is for my strike dog. Catahoula from Hired Hands Kennel. I run the Devastor with a chin flap added for the catch dog. You get good dogs you know the time you have invested. Its hard to replace the really reliable dogs you can depend on to get the job done. Sidney

I feed my dogs at 6:00 to 7:00 pm every night. When we hunt in the morning i have a coffee, they can have water. They run till we quit. I will feed them a small amount when we get home. It's like after a hard workout. And then i will feed at the usual time. I feed Taste of the Wild, a grain free dog food. My 12 year old cat keeps up all day. If we hunt at night they have already ate. Sidney
