Ortho makes a product identical to the Bayer and it has no fertlizer in it. I have seen it at Lowe's. Wally World had it last year but our local store does not carry it any more as a matter of fact our local Wal Mart has quit carrying the Bayer product but our Lowe's carries the Ortho product.

Dew claws can be removed very easily with an elastrator (the rubber bands used for castration and docking of sheep, cattle and goats) works sllick as anything. Be sure and give a tetanus antitoxin shot when you do it. Why pay a vet to do it when you can do it yourself for around $5 including the price of the tetanus shot.

You can use a rubber band (elastrator) like they use on calves and sheep and goats. It does a good job. Leave it on for about a week and then cut the tail off with some pruning shears. Works real slick. You can use this technique on any age dog. Wouldnt hurt to give the dog a tetanus shot when you put the band on just to be safe.
