Yessir that’s what I thought. I need to get some of it anyway. I’ve seen more canebreaks in the last 2 years than I have the rest of my life combined

Cajun I had access to it when my wife was still shoeing horses but not since she got away from it. I’m gonna see if she can get some to keep on hand
T-dog yea I’m not gonna worry about it now. I just been packing it with furazone and keeping him on antibiotics. I’m sure it’ll heal fine but just take a lot longer. I’ve heard of the castor oil and alum and I’ll give it a try to

Isn’t dex just an anti inflammatory? I was talking about something to knock a dog out or at least calm them way down so I can work on them

What sedatives are available for knocking a dog down to staple or stitch that’s over the counter without a prescription? When I have help I don’t really need it but I hunt 95% of the time alone and holding a dog down and stapling is pretty hard to get done by myself. My sage dog got the bottom of his jaw cut pretty good and he’s done ripped them out so I’d like to stitch it but he’s a pain to work on

It takes dedication to keep a good line going and you don’t see that much anymore. I looked for a long time for a good line of cur dogs but never found what I wanted and ended up gettin into plotts. I love them but I’m still on the look out for some good yella dogs too.

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / C.B. Thornton line of yellow blackmouth

So I was reading back through old post about yellow blackmouth lines in east Texas and come across some mentions of cb Thornton who was my wife’s grandfather. We had talked about the dogs he had and how they worked but when he passed away her dad got rid of all of his dogs. I been wanting to find me a few good yellow dogs and it would be nice to be able to find some dogs that go back to her families old line and wouid mean the world to her get some of that blood. So does anyone know if any of that blood still exists and who has it?
