thanks for the info i have been on the phone today with multiple people and never could get a staight answer, i did talk to a man that is over the wma area u are reffering to as the moore plantation and he definatly informed me that it was illegal to have dogs on this land. im not sayin u are wrong with your information its just that i have had a different answer from every person i have called so just be aware that some of the people that have inforcement in this area have a different view. but i will be hunting the national forest so we may can get together and hunt !

 I am located in logansport, where are yall from we might need to plan a hunt if we can hunt on the national forest.

Does anyone know if you can hunt in this area ?? i am from louisiana and do not fully understand the rules and regulations that i have found on the internet it is considered a wma if you have hunted here or know if you can even run dogs on this land would you share your information so i might understand it!

I have had the same opinion about not carrying a gun when i have my dogs on the ground but i have got on somebig hogs and my dogs have been cut down or killed and then im standing there looking at a problem. this is just for those emergency times when there is no other choice. but thanks for all the feedback .

what do kind of gun do yall carry when u go hunting.  i dont ussually carry one but i have had a few close calls with big hogs this year so i want to see whats a good gun to have in those bad situations.
