Run dirt equipment , dozers, track-hoes , ect. been contracted to the federal wildlife dept. for 3 yrs. now , its a bad day when you in the marsh and and hogs all around and you cant hunt !

we ussally get there as fast as we can , that doesnt mean time wise it was very fast , alot of thick stuff slows us down , nothing like being on your hands and knees trying to get through a thicket to the dogs , and fun getting a hog caught and tied and drug out , aint been on in awhile thought id drop a line , also , just an opinion , you can bust a bay up rushing in to fast

When i was in the 1st grade i moved from her in Chambers county Tx. and moved to Colorado with my mom and step-dad , he was best friends with a big game guide and outfitter , he guided elk and deer hunts , and high mountain fishing trips , and he ran lion and bear with hounds , i spent almost everyday that i wasnt in school with this man , his name was Arlis Whitecotton , i got my love for trail dogs from this man , i love a good dog and i like big game , and thats all we have here is hogs , you cant run dogs on bear anymore in colorado , i moved back to Tx . when i was 15 , but i often think back about how lucky i was , anyway thats why i hog hunt , i dont hate the hogs , i hate fire-ants and mosquittos , later

in my younger years i ruined some good young dogs starting them to early , put them in a bay pen against a hog alittle to big for them and got there confidence broke , ive also put them in a bay pen and built there confidence up to much and had that confidence get them cut bad at a young age some will get over that and still make a good dog , i agree with only taking one young dog ata time , and maybe the turning in when you want to is good to , i just try to go where ive seen lots of sign or hogs , nothing worse on a pups training program than several dry runs , they get bored and start looking for something to get into
