Sorry been gone form the forum so long , I have had some health problems starting back in Dec when I had a heart attack while deer hunting. Was getting better then had another one in Feb. I have sold or given away all my hog dogs and coon dogs, I only kept a couple of older dogs just to have around the house.I sure do miss hunting , hopefully this fall or winter , I can just fall in with some folks just to hear the dogs run. I don't get around very good walking right now. I told a hunting buddy of mine , if I go and die, just catch my dog and take their tracking collar off and put it on me so the EMT's can find me before I rot.
Anyway fellows just checking in and its great seeing and ready all the stories and pictures. Happy Hunting !!!!!

I have sold half interest in this half brother to the pups, he is well on his way to makeing a good coondog.  He will be headed to Newton , Texas |

Just got off the phone with my hunting buddy out in Newton,Texas he will be picking up a male and he said he would bring any back to Texas

Lizzy had her pups last night. As of right now she is nurseing 8 healthy pups. I will post some pictures in a few days .
Boys these are going to make some fine hounds. I am keeping 1 for my self. I allways keep a pup out of every litter, why to evulate the cross for my self. Pups off this sire from another litter have made some outstanding coon and hog dogs, Cooter the one I kept is makeing a fine coondog in his 1st season of hunting

I have a litter of pups due Jan 5. I use the sire 90% on hogs and 10% coon. The dam is 100% coondog. These pups have the current #4 reproducer on the upclose pedigree and the female is 100% Pocahontas breed direct from Mr Walker. These pups should have lots of grit and want to hunt. Pups are priced at $150 either sex. If interested pm or email me

talked to a friend this morning he is getting out of hunting (72yr old) he told me if anyone wanted them contact me for his # , dogs are free

What about the meat from sows tht wer killed while in heat. I have been told the meat will smell like a boar when cooking. The sow is swinging in the breeze right now at my buddies house.
